Our Philosophy
Traumatic Stress Therapy Services was created in response to the need for services. Far too many men and women are nervous about seeking treatment for PTSD, believing that they must choose between either repeatedly reliving their traumatic experiences or risking job loss as a result of seeking help.
Our service model offers a solution: no one knows you are receiving treatment with us. There is no insurance accepted, no payment, no paper trail. Even the VA doesn't find out. Only you know, and those around you will notice a difference.

What is PTSD?
PTSD is a group of symptoms that may occur in response to experiencing or witnessing an event in which life was taken or an event that caused significant psychological shock.
Symptoms may include:
Nightmares
Flashbacks
Anxiety
Depression
Inability to focus
Hypervigilance
Difficulty discerning flashbacks from reality
These symptoms, if not treated, may lead to deterioration of daily functioning or suicide.
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is our core treatment method—an intense yet highly effective form of treatment that uses eye movements or tapping to help the brain reconcile traumatic memories by removing the emotional reaction from the events.
Instills the positive cues needed to be freed from the pain of a memory that is triggered by everyday events.
Patients are not required to relive every unpleasant moment of an experience, yet they are able to move past the trauma.
The memories are not forgotten, but no longer cause distress.
